Former Barcelona defender Gerard Piqué and Colombian pop star Shakira have sold a villa in Spain for $3.5 million, splitting the proceeds following their separation.
Shakira is currently performing in Miami on her world tour. Meanwhile, Piqué is on a trip to Arizona with his new girlfriend. Piqué, the former president of the Barca team, transitioned to business three years after retiring from professional football.
In 2022, the former 38-year-old defender and Shakira began dividing their joint assets, including real estate they had acquired together. According to ABC, the former couple sold one of their three villas in Esplugues de Llobregat, Barcelona.
The $3.5 million villa was the residence of Shakira’s parents, while Piqué’s family lived in another of their villas. Two other villas owned by the former couple are also on the market. Mireia Admetller built these two villas in 2012, which are valued at a combined $12.86 million.
