From Runway to Ring: Former Miss Germany Tatjana Genrich Gears Up for Professional Boxing Debut

Tatjana Genrich, a renowned figure in the pageant and modeling world, is set to make a dramatic career shift at 33 years old, transitioning from the glamorous runways to the intense boxing ring. The former Miss Germany has announced her ambition to compete professionally and ultimately challenge for a world championship title in boxing, with her inaugural fight fast approaching.

Her professional boxing debut is scheduled for November 14, 2026, in Magdeburg, Germany. This highly anticipated event, dubbed “Das Grobe Finale,” will see Genrich enter the ring for a four-round bout, with each round lasting two minutes. While the event details are confirmed, the identity of her opponent is yet to be officially announced, adding an element of suspense to her first professional outing.

Despite her prominent career as a beauty queen and a successful model who has represented Germany on numerous international stages, Genrich is no stranger to the sport of boxing. Her journey in combat sports began at a young age, rooted in a desire for self-defense. She revealed that she took up boxing during her school years as a means to protect herself from bullying, stating, “At school, I was always bullied, and I wanted to find a way to protect myself. That’s when I started boxing.”

This early immersion in the sport proved fruitful, as Genrich previously held the Flyweight title for three consecutive years between 2007 and 2009 in her amateur boxing career. This past success played a significant role in her decision to return to the sport she loves, leaving behind her acclaimed career in pageantry and modeling to pursue a new professional path.

Her achievements in the beauty world are extensive, having won Miss Saxony-Anhalt in 2010, Miss Deutschland Europe in 2015, and Miss International Europe in 2023. In 2022, she was crowned Miss Deutschland and was also recognized as one of the top 15 models globally, in addition to winning Miss Popularity. Even amidst these demanding commitments, the 33-year-old consistently maintained her boxing training, demonstrating her enduring passion for the sport.

Tatjana Genrich expressed her desire to be a positive influence, aiming to set an example for younger women. She seeks to demonstrate that women can achieve success across various professional fields, daily endeavors, and, importantly, in the competitive world of sports.
