Casemiro Confident Manchester United is on the Right Path

Manchester United midfielder Casemiro has expressed strong confidence that the club is now on the right track, despite a challenging start to the Premier League season.

The Brazilian international featured in United’s starting XI under new manager Ruben Amorim, maintaining good form and contributing significantly as a defensive midfielder by creating many positive plays.

In a recent match against Arsenal at Old Trafford, United showed glimpses of positive progress. Arsenal scored in the 13th minute, a goal stemming from a mistake by goalkeeper Altay Bayindir. Despite this setback, the Red Devils displayed impressive attacking statistics, registering 22 shots compared to Arsenal’s nine, with seven shots on target. However, Arsenal’s goalkeeper David Raya made crucial saves, and some shots struck the woodwork, denying United. Manchester United also dominated possession, controlling 61% of the ball against Arsenal’s 39%.

Casemiro acknowledged manager Amorim’s vision, believing it can guide the team to a better future after the struggles of the past season. The former Real Madrid midfielder emphasized the high expectations for the club, hoping it can recapture the glory of previous generations.

“Manchester United always strives for victory. While a defeat is never acceptable, we must always win. I believe we performed very well in that game against Arsenal, but we also needed the victory. Now, we are definitely on the right path,” the 33-year-old midfielder stated.

Casemiro joined United in 2022 for £70 million ($94 million) and has since made approximately 126 appearances across all competitions.
