Casemiro: United on the Right Track

Manchester United midfielder Casemiro is highly confident the club is on the right path as they prepare for the new 2025-26 Premier League season. This comes despite a recent Premier League loss to Arsenal at Old Trafford.

Under manager Ruben Amorim, Casemiro has been a key starter for United, consistently demonstrating good form as a defensive midfielder, protecting the backline and initiating attacks with effective passing.

In the recent match, the Red Devils displayed a positive form and high level of competition against Arsenal, even though they fell to a 13th-minute goal from Gabriel, following a goalkeeping error by Altay Bayindir. United registered 22 shots on goal compared to Arsenal’s nine, with seven on target. However, strong saves from goalkeeper David Raya and several shots hitting the post denied them. Manchester United also controlled 61% of possession during the game.

Casemiro credits manager Amorim’s philosophy for the team’s potential improvement after a challenging previous season. The former Real Madrid midfielder expressed high expectations, hoping the club can recapture its past glory.

He stated, “Manchester United always strives for victory. I don’t want to say that defeat is okay, but we have to win – Man Utd always wins. I think we performed well in that game, we played very good, but we also needed victory. Now, we’re on the right path.”

The 33-year-old midfielder joined United in 2022 for £70 million ($94 million) and has since made approximately 126 appearances across all competitions.
