Everton has officially moved into its new home, the Hill Dickinson Stadium, also known as Bramley Moore Dock. The state-of-the-art venue, built at a cost exceeding $1 billion, hosted its inaugural Premier League match on August 24. Everton celebrated the occasion with a decisive 2-0 victory over Brighton & Hove Albion.
Supporters overwhelmingly expressed their excitement and praised the new stadium’s modern environment and overall experience. Many fans took to social media to highlight the club’s significant achievement, lauding the contemporary design, features, and impressive sound system. Some even suggested the new home’s debut was more thrilling than signing star players, acknowledging it as a historic moment for the club.
Located on the Merseyside waterfront, the 52,769-capacity stadium replaces the club’s venerable 133-year-old Goodison Park, which accommodated 39,572 fans. Designed with versatility in mind, the new ground models itself after iconic venues like Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Wembley, and Real Madrid’s Santiago Bernabeu, making it suitable for hosting other sports and concerts in addition to football matches.
