Jake Paul to Face WBA Champion Gervonta Davis in Exhibition Bout

YouTube star Jake Paul is set to face Gervonta Davis, the WBA World Champion, in an exhibition bout on November 14. This was confirmed by Jake Paul’s promoter’s agent.

The 30-year-old Davis currently holds the WBA lightweight belt, which Devin Haney vacated in 2023 when he moved up to a higher weight class.

This bout between Paul and Davis will not be a WBA-sanctioned competition, but purely an exhibition, primarily due to the significant weight difference between the two fighters.

Davis boasts an impressive professional record, remaining undefeated across 31 bouts with 30 wins and 1 draw, primarily competing in the lightweight division.

The 27-year-old Paul, who is scheduled to face boxing legend Mike Tyson in early 2025, also posted a message on X, stating he doesn’t ‘care about weight or whoever, where he can face all.’

In a previous exhibition match in June against former boxer Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., Paul competed at 90.45 kg (heavyweight). In contrast, Davis recently competed against Lamont Roach at 60.69 kg.

Separately, former boxer Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., who previously lost to Jake Paul, was reportedly deported to Mexico by US immigration authorities on charges of drug trafficking, human trafficking, and communication with Mexican terrorists.
