Poland and Italy have secured their places in the final of the FIVB Men’s Volleyball Nations League 2025, following their semi-final victories on August 2, 2025, in China.
The semi-finals featured Brazil, Slovenia, Poland, and Italy. Italy advanced by defeating Slovenia 3-1 (25-22, 22-25, 25-21, 25-18), while Poland secured their spot with a dominant 3-0 win over Brazil (28-26, 25-19, 25-21).
The highly anticipated final between Poland and Italy will take place on August 3, 2025, to determine the 2025 championship. Brazil and Slovenia will compete for third place on the same day.
Organized by the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB), the 2025 Men’s Volleyball Nations League ran from June 11 to August 3, 2025, in China, featuring 18 teams from various continents.
Since its inception in 2018, the VNL has seen different champions. The inaugural 2018 edition in Lille, France, and the 2019 edition in Chicago, USA, were both won by Russia. The 2020 tournament was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Brazil claimed the title in Rimini, Italy, in 2021, followed by France in Bologna, Italy, in 2022. Poland celebrated a home victory in Gdańsk in 2023, and most recently, France secured the 2024 title in Łódź, Poland, defeating Japan 3-1, with Japan having finished third in 2023.
