Casemiro Confident Manchester United is on the Right Path Under Ruben Amorim’s Vision

Brazilian midfield maestro Casemiro has expressed unwavering confidence in Manchester United’s current trajectory, asserting that the club is firmly on the right path as they look ahead to the new 2025-26 Premier League season. His optimistic outlook comes as manager Ruben Amorim continues to shape the squad, with Casemiro himself remaining a pivotal figure.

Under Amorim’s stewardship, the experienced midfielder has consistently featured in the starting eleven, showcasing impressive form. His critical role as a defensive shield, combined with his ability to initiate attacking plays, has been a significant asset to the team.

Reflecting on a recent encounter, notably a match against rivals Arsenal at Old Trafford, Casemiro acknowledged the team’s potential despite the outcome. While Manchester United has faced its share of challenges in previous seasons, this specific game demonstrated encouraging signs of positive development and a heightened competitive spirit from the Red Devils.

In the match, Arsenal took an early lead, finding the back of the net in the 13th minute due to an error involving goalkeeper Altay Bayindir and a subsequent play that included Gabriel. Despite conceding first, Manchester United displayed considerable attacking prowess. Statistics from the game reveal that United registered a total of 22 shots on goal, significantly more than Arsenal’s nine. Seven of these attempts were on target, but were thwarted by crucial saves from Arsenal’s goalkeeper David Raya, with some shots also narrowly missing or hitting the woodwork. Furthermore, United dominated possession with 61% of the ball, underscoring their control over extended periods of the contest.

Casemiro openly endorsed Ruben Amorim’s tactical vision, stating his belief that the manager’s ideas are capable of guiding the team back to a period of greater success following a challenging prior season. The former Real Madrid midfielder underscored the high expectations surrounding the club, expressing his hope that Manchester United can restore the glories reminiscent of its most successful past generations.

“Manchester United always approaches matches with a winning mentality,” the 33-year-old midfielder commented. “I don’t want to suggest that defeat is acceptable, because at United, we always strive for victory. I believe we performed commendably in that particular game; we played very well. However, we also need to secure wins. I am confident that we are now on the right path.”

Casemiro made his move to Manchester United in 2022, in a transfer deal reportedly worth £70 million (approximately $94 million). Since his arrival, he has been a consistent presence on the field, accumulating around 126 appearances across all competitions for the club.
