The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) officially announced on September 15 that two iconic European stadiums, Bayern Munich’s Allianz Arena and Barcelona’s Camp Nou, have been selected to host the UEFA Champions League finals in 2028 and 2029, respectively. For the Allianz Arena in Munich, Germany, the 2028 final will represent its third occasion hosting European club football’s most prestigious match. The state-of-the-art stadium previously welcomed the final in 2012, a memorable night where home side Bayern Munich suffered a defeat to Chelsea. More recently, the venue was also scheduled to host the 2025 final, which saw Paris Saint-Germain claim the trophy with a decisive 5-0 victory over Inter Milan. Following in 2029, Barcelona’s historic Camp Nou will take its turn as the host of the UEFA Champions League final.
