The Dutch national football team has officially announced its 26-man squad, selected by head coach Ronald Koeman, for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup campaign. The roster, revealed on May 27, sees the significant return of veteran striker Memphis Depay, who has successfully recovered from a recent injury.
Depay’s inclusion is a major boost for the Netherlands, as he stands as the team’s all-time leading goal scorer. His return to the national team training camp signals his readiness to contribute to the squad’s aspirations on the global stage. Alongside Depay, the attacking lineup boasts formidable talent, including promising forwards such as Cody Gakpo and Donyell Malen. Malen, in particular, has been in impressive club form, registering 14 goals in 18 games.
At the heart of the defense, captain Virgil van Dijk continues to be the stalwart presence, expected to anchor the Dutch backline with his immense strength and leadership. In midfield, Frenkie de Jong remains a pivotal figure, tasked with orchestrating play and linking the defense seamlessly with the attack, a critical role under Koeman’s tactical system.
The full 26-man squad called up for the 2026 FIFA World Cup is as follows:
Goalkeepers: Mark Flekken, Robin Roefs, Bart Verbruggen
