FC Bayern Munich midfielder Jamal Musiala has openly discussed a recent health concern, revealing he is undergoing treatment for an abnormality in his nervous system. This comes after the talented German international experienced two separate instances of collapsing on the pitch within a span of just four days.
The first incident occurred on August 15 during a friendly match in Munich, where Bayern secured a 3-1 victory over RB Leipzig. Musiala collapsed during the game. Just three days later, on August 18, the 23-year-old midfielder again lost consciousness. This happened merely six minutes after he had been substituted into a friendly against Heidenheim, a match which Bayern Munich ultimately won 4-2. Following this second collapse, Musiala appeared disoriented and required immediate medical attention from the team doctors, subsequently being helped off the field.
To address growing concerns and provide clarity to fans, Musiala took to his Instagram account to share an update on his condition. He stated, ‘I have been diagnosed with a short-term, silent condition that is caused by a nervous system abnormality, but it is easily treatable.’ The Bayern Munich star acknowledged that this nervous system issue could potentially lead to similar incidents occurring again in the future. However, he emphasized his resolve, expressing that he is not fearful of what has transpired and is well-prepared for any challenges in his daily life.
Musiala is currently receiving comprehensive care from specialized medical professionals. Throughout this period, he is being strongly supported by FC Bayern Munich, along with his family and friends, all of whom are committed to encouraging him during his treatment and recovery process.
